Far Southwest Virgina has been under the leadership of our current Delegate since 1994. In those 31+ years, we have lived through many things, not all of them bad, but we are at a crossroads in our district.

As the federal government attempts to dismantle the systems that help struggling communities and many working families across the nation, many Far Southwest Virginians will suffer. We already feel like here in the Commonwealth we only get the crumbs of what happens in Richmond. We deserve more, we deserve an equal piece of the pie, not just a sliver. As businesses leave, schools close, communities suffer, and healthcare becomes a minimum, our unhoused population is growing, and the mountains are crumbling around us.

My name is Josh Outsey and I want to hear your thoughts, ideas and concerns. I am ready to go to Richmond and fight for my community, for Far Southwest Virginia, for all of us! We have no more time to sit on the sidelines and wait and hope for things to happen. I don't care about Dominion money and keeping Ballad Health happy, I care about my neighbors, friends and family and how we can gather together and bring real change to District 45. Lee, Scott, Wise and the parts of Dickenson that encompass HD-45 have waited long enough, 30+ years!
